Transform Collage Frames into One-of-a-kind Decor

The ability to organize and edit photos with today’s  technology is incredible, but I have always printed and displayed my favorite family photos.   I use collage frames and until recently made sure they all matched with black frames and white matting. Now I am stepping outside my creative decorating box and looking at those collages. They really need a transformation to add some character and color. Using some scrapbook paper and spray paint, it is easy, quick and inexpensive to transform collage frames.  I transformed my collage frame into a colorful inexpensive piece one-of-a-kind decor with an alternative use of scrapbook paper.

Supplies needed:

  • plain collage frame;
  • Any color spray paint with primer;
  • 2 to 3 pages of your choice of  12 x12 scrapbook paper.

Step 1:    Find a collage frame you want to update;

My Personal Accent!

Angela SwansonGuest Post by Angela Swanson of My Personal Accent

Hi, I am Angela. Someone told me  to find my voice… It was then I realized why I created My Personal Accent.  I want a place to learn, make mistakes, come up with ideas, and do things I am passionate about. I want people to come, stay awhile, maybe learn a thing or teach me something, and then pass it along if they wish.  That is why the slogan is DIY Eclectic Guide to Life. You will find that My Personal Accent is not a traditional blog but more of a “reality” blog. I share both my successes and failures in my posts and how I learned from them. My blog also includes DIY tutorials for parents and kids. Be a part of my journey and embrace the eclectic side of life.
